Detroit Style pizzas are made with a special pan and special processes. This type of pizza was originally created in Detroit in 1946 and today, Stone Canyon Pizza has perfected it!
The way the pizza is made is specifically unique to the Detroit Style pizza. The dough is made to have a thick, light crisp bottom. Followed by cheese, which is intentionally caramelized around the edge of the pan, your favorite toppings, and a fresh, robust sauce. This building “from the bottom up” allows the sauce to saturate the ingredients rather than the crust.
All Detroit Style Pizzas are prepared in a 10″ x 14″ square pizza pan. Build your own or select one of our favorites. You’re gonna love this! Options include:
