Have you ever wondered why we call it Specialty Pizza?
It’s not just because we created it specially for you. Which of course we did. It’s because of the unique combination of ingredients, flavor profiles and techniques. At Stone Canyon Pizza our Specialty Pizzas were created for the Perfect Pizza Eating Experience. These ingredients didn’t just pop into our head in a dream. We measured and practiced to get just the taste we were looking for.
We combined certain types of ingredients together with a specific goal in mind. Take our Spicy BBQ Chicken Specialty Pizza. We started with Kansas City’s best BBQ Sauce (KC Masterpiece), and topped it with Grande Mozzarella Cheese (the best you can get). Sliced Chicken and Bacon always go together. Then we added Pineapple to give it some sweetness and Jalapeños to give it just the right kick. Combined – perfection.
Many of our specialty pizzas may seem familiar as the combinations are similar to other pizza places. Our Stone Canyon Choice is our Meat Lover’s Pizza and the Grand Canyon combines all of your favorite Meats and Veggies. But at Stone Canyon we have a few creations that no one else has concocted.
Take for example our Honey Jack Pizza. Our house-made Honey Mustard Sauce with Pepper Jack and Mozzarella Cheeses, Roasted Chicken Breast, Smoked Bacon, and Jalapeños. After baking, it’s sprinkled with Scallions. Add a little Cream Cheese and it’s a slice of heaven.
Or check out our Scampi Blanca Specialty Pie. House-made Roasted Garlic Sauce with Butter Sauteed Shrimp, Mozzarella, Provolone and Asiago Cheeses and Diced Tomatoes. Nothin if not authentic.
You like Pesto Sauce? Try our Pollo Pesto Pizza. Fresh Pesto Sauce, Fresh Spinach, Roasted Chicken and Roasted Red Peppers with Mozzarella Cheese.
Or go for the hog! Bob’s Whole Hog. If it’s pork, it’s on there. Smoked bacon, Canadian Bacon, Italian Sausage, American Sausage and BBQ Sauce with Cheddar and Mozzarella Cheeses. Oink Oink.
